February 2026 — This site is a work in progress. . .

Ah, 2026!

So daunting on the national and international scenes, yet promising to be so fruitful for Adirondack Stage Rats!

We’re starting off February (around Winter Carnival time!) with staged readings of CABIN FEVERby Joan Schenkar. Sure, we’ve all experienced cabin fever, but not (we hope) to the degree of these characters!  CABIN FEVER could be the illegitimate dramatic off-spring of Samuel Beckett, Stephen King, and Sam Shepard.  Featuring Leslie Dame, Christopher Leifheit, and the ever-lovely Jordan Hornstein! Venues, dates, and times TBA!!

ROUNDING THIRD by Richard Dresser comes your way in the baseball month of March.  Two fathers: one the kids’ coach, the other a businessman trying to get closer to his son, try to work together despite their opposing views of winning. Directed by Peter Corley and featuring Brendon Gotham and – in a triumphant return to the stage – Stu Ruttan!  Check back for places, dates, and times.

HAMLET IN BED by Michael Laurence will be our third staged reading in late March or early April.  Join Peter Corley and Beth Glover as they slam through this story of an actor obsessed with playing Hamlet AND with finding his biological mother.  It’s a wild dramatic roller coaster of a scrip;t full of dizzying ups, stomach-dropping downs, and lightening twists and turns. Bookings still TBD.

There’s more to come so keep checking back for updates!

PS – In response to audiences who hooted their heads off last year as Tara Palen portrayed the comedically tragic Cindy Lou Who in WHO’S HOLIDAY by Michael Lombardo, she’ll be back re-telling her tawdry tale in faux Dr. Seuss rhyme in December!!________________________________________________________________________________
